About Me
Howdy! My name is Caitlin Schmedthorst and I am a Agriculture Science Teacher at Plano East Sr. HS for my first year as a teacher. I graduated from Tarleton State University in the Spring of 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science. My major was Agricultural Services & Development with an emphasis on teaching. I met my husband, John while at Tarleton, and together we have our dog, Elvis, and our cat, Missy. I grew up around a cattle ranch and a floral shop, and from there my passion for agricultural education blossomed. My hobbies include riding horses, helping my husband farm, and reading books when I have spare time. I'm currently working on attaining my Master's in Education at Lamar University. My focus is Digital Learning & Leading, and I expect to graduate by 2022, wish me luck! |
Educational Vision
My vision as the Agriculture Science teacher is primarily to share with the student's a passion for agriculture, which is stemmed from their newfound knowledge about all things within it. I seek to bring out the best of these student's through teaching them what it means to be responsible, kind, driven and respectful. As an educator I will further my own education on teaching and agriculture for the rest of my time and lead by example. 2019-2020 Schedule
